Where are we going?
Tanzania is not only the magnificent Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro. Ruaha, in the south of the country, is one of the largest national parks in East Africa, with unparalleled landscapes resting along the banks of the Great Ruaha River. A park for adventure seekers, where you can explore the northern and southern circuits in search of lions, leopards, giraffes, wild dogs—the best hunters in the animal kingdom—and more than 450 species of birds. However, in Ruaha, the king is the elephant—vigorous, intimidating, and fully aware of its power. We’ll see them seeking shade under the baobabs or walking in a line toward the refreshing water.
Later, we will head to Iringa to visit the magical Isimila, and then continue our journey to Uzungwa National Park, where we will embark on a 4-hour trek to reach the famous Sanje Waterfalls, where the bravest can take a dip (during the dry season).

Where do we stay?
In Ruaha, our mobile camp enjoys a unique and privileged location. No one else can camp in this secluded spot during our stay.
On clear nights, the show unfolds above us. The Milky Way, the Southern Cross, and thousands of stars accompany us. The delicious dinner prepared by our Chef Grace, by the riverbank, around the fire, and under the stars, completes an unforgettable experience.
When we retire to rest in our tents, we’ll hear the trumpeting of elephants as they enjoy a bath in the Ruaha River, the grunting of hippos, and, of course, the roar of lions marking their territory.
Who is it for?
Our circuits are customized for small groups of 4 to 10 people maximum. The Sound of the Southern Cross is designed for travelers who wish to venture beyond the classic northern circuits (Serengeti and Ngorongoro) and who have a passion for nature, adventure, and the rhythmic language spoken by Tanzanians, Swahili. Our circuits are unique, tailored to your needs, and crafted by the best professionals.
