The Sound of the Savannah
Serengeti – Ngorongoro – Tarangire
Where do we go?
The Sound of Savannah offers a unique experience, visiting the most hidden-away places of the vast Serengeti National Park (some 16,000 km2), Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Our mobile campsite travels along the natural path traced by the great migration and lets us experience live the sound of the African night: the roar of the lion announcing its presence, the bellow of the elephant, the amusing yipping of the zebra, the unmistakable laugh of the hyena…
Where do we stay?
Where we stay is truly a privilege as no one else can camp in this remote place while we are there; our only companions will be the genuine inhabitants of the Savannah. We will enjoy the sunset around the fire, where, after a long day exploring the park, we eagerly await the dinner prepared by our chef, always washed down with a good wine under the stars of the African night.
After our incredible experience in the mythical Tanzanian national parks, we will travel to Oldonyo Sambu and stay at the Africa Amini Life lodge. An incredible place to relax, managed exclusively by Maasais. They will invite us to enjoy their dances and songs, teach us how to throw their spears and show us the life and culture of the Maasai people. Gong Rock Safaris is committed to using 100% indigenous small businesses that offer an authentic experience with a positive impact on local Tanzanian communities.
